A FREE professional-development opportunity for Wisconsin Teachers
funded by a Department of Education Teaching American History grant:

A three-week summer institute (scheduled for June 13 - July 1, 2011) offers wonderful opportunities:

• Enroll in a FREE course of study open to Wisconsin teachers in CESAs 3-12, and receive graduate credits or a stipend.
• Receive FREE history books, provided by the grant.
• Travel FREE to Vicksburg and the Mississippi Delta and experience the history you have studied (among other stops along the way)
• Participate in readings and discussions of leading works by historians. Understand and be better able to teach key narratives in American history.
• Learn key resources in identifying and finding primary sources on Wisconsin history, particularly so students can use the sources in active learning projects such as National History Day competition.
